During treatment, Kybella® is injected into the excess fat deposits below the chin and breaks apart the membrane of the fat cells. This destroys the fat cells, and they can no longer store fat. How Many Treatments Will I Need?

The number of treatments you need will depend on your chin profile. However, it can take up to three to six treatments to achieve maximum benefits. Sessions are usually spaced 4 weeks apart. During the consultation, we will discuss your treatment goals and expectations, and design your customized plan.

Is There Any Downtime?

You may feel some soreness or swelling after Kybella®. This should fade within a few days so you can return to normal activities shortly after treatment.

When Will I See Results?

Most patients notice results after 2-4 treatments.

How Long Do The Results Last?

Kybella® destroys the fat cells in the treated area and they can no longer accumulate fat, so the results are long-lasting. However, the remaining fat cells can store fat if there is weight gain. Therefore, patients should practice a healthy lifestyle to maintain results.

Am I A Good Candidate for Kybella®?

If you have a double chin that you would like to get rid of without surgery, you may be a good candidate for Kybella®. Ideal candidates for Kybella® should also have good skin elasticity.
